Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received orders of Rs 256 crore from Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro/MMRC). Under this order, RVNL have to build an elevated metro station, an elevated station, eco park and metro city.

RVNL and IRCON are PSU companies engaged in development of railway infrastructure. In this manner a proposal was submitted to Railway ministry about merger of RVNL with IRCON.
